My name is Phira Lyn Breslow, a singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist of playful synthesis folk. I build songs and game pieces out of language, traditional folk instrumentation and electronics. My art explores the connections and breaks that happen between language and music while finding the unique emotions that arise when the two combine into song. These songs can arise both in strictly composed and improvised forms, creating structures that make a complete musical statement while having space to organically grow as new collaborators enter. This can result in anything from a simple combo of voice and banjo to a multilayered chorus of looped voices, trumpet and modular synthesizers.

In addition, I have previous professional experience as a UX Designer, create visual and interactive art, and take care of many cats and dogs. I try to showcase a little bit of all of that here, in my little palimpsest.
